用在时间上，in指的是较长的时间，像是在一天，一个月，一个季节或一年。
例如：in the morning（一天）、in June（一个月）、in winter（一个季节）、in 1999（一年）

用在地点上，in指的通常是较大的地点，像是附近邻里地区，城市，国家，或在一个地点里面，像是在商店，在家或在房间。
例如：in Thailand、in Malaysia、in my room

in还可以用来指某个阅读的内容，像是报纸或资料等。
例如：in the newspaper、in the e-mail
 

✏️ on ✏️

用在时间上，on指的是特定的日期或某一天
例如：on September 24th、on Monday

用在地点上，on指的通常是物体的表面或是街道等
例如：on the table、on the road

on还可以用来表示无法在纸本上呈现的电子媒体资讯
例如：on YouTube、on the internet、on the phone

用在时间上，at指的是特定时间点，像是几点几分
例如：at 8 pm

用在地点上，at指的是特定较小的地点
例如：at the cafe、at the stadium
